Smokos banking for New Zealand
The plain-English guide to moving money in and out as a Kiwi - and deposit methods aren't the same as withdrawal methods.
Getting money in
Depositing at Smokos is quick and it's all in NZD for Kiwi accounts. The minimum to get going is $20.
Getting money out
This is where a bit of know-how saves you grief: cards aren't a withdrawal option for New Zealand players at all, even though they're fine for depositing. Both Visa and Mastercard's payout rails have country restrictions that rule this out for New Zealand.
Where a method does support withdrawal, it's still closed-loop within that method - a bank transfer withdrawal goes to the same bank account, a crypto withdrawal to the same wallet you deposited from.
Two more rules before your first cash-out:
Your deposit has to be wagered at least one time before you can withdraw. Not 40 times - just once through.
Smokos runs a standard ID check (KYC) before your first payout. Sort it early and your first withdrawal goes through clean.

A word on that monthly cap: the withdrawal ceiling is $50,000 per month (VIP exceptions possible); wins above $50,000 may be paid in monthly $50,000 installments. For the vast majority of Kiwi players that's a non-issue - it only matters if you're pulling out serious money, and even then wins above the cap are paid out in monthly instalments rather than lost. Progressive jackpot wins are paid in full.
Timing - what to expect
The one payout time we'll commit to is bank transfer, at about ~3 banking days. For crypto we won't quote you a time, because it hasn't been locked in and we'd rather not guess. Get your verification done before you request a withdrawal and you cut out the biggest source of delay.
